What You Need
2 cans drained salmon 16 ounce
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2/3 cup unseasoned dry bread crumbs
½ cup chopped celery
½ cup sour cream
4 Tablespoons chopped green onions
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon pepper
2/3 cup sour cream
½ cup grated lemon
2/3 teaspoon dried dill
8 hamburger buns

How to Make It
Using a medium to large size mixing bowl you will add the drained salmon, shredded cheddar cheese, unseasoned dry bread crumbs, chopped celery, sour cream, eggs, chopped green onions, prepared mustard, garlic powder and pepper. Mix to combine all ingredients well.
Divide this mixture into 8 equal parts and then form them into patties about ½ inches in thickness.
Grease and preheat a large skillet over a medium to high heat setting. Place the hamburgers in the preheated skillet without crowding them. Cook for about 8 to 10 minutes until the bottom is browned. Turn after about 4 to 5 minutes. Cook until done. Remove from heat and drain off the oil.
Toast your buns in the oven or you can toast them on a low fire setting on the grill while you are barbequing. Then again, you can serve these salmon burgers on fresh bread as well.
To prepare the sauce for these salmon burgers you will mix together the 2/3 cup sour cream, ½ cup grated lemon and the 2/3 teaspoon of dried dill. Blend well and then spread on the burgers before serving.
